I have more of an issue when a team is up 3 and they foul the other team so they can only have a chance at 2 points. That scenario seems more unfair to me. Denying the other team a chance to attempt a 3 to tie by fouling, but I don't know how you could fix it either.

Would people like this in football:
LSU up 4 with 45 seconds left other team has no timeouts
Other team fouls us. Forces LSU to kick a field goal
We make the field goal and are up 7. But now the other team has the ball and a chance to tie
That is the exact same scenario. So stupid
