I always thought of it as high school but that's just me. I mean I definitely think of Elway as a California guy.

I think that's more representative of "where are you from" than birthplace, but tougher to track down.

I mean, say a guy was born in Chicago but grew up and played 8 man football in Wyoming. Or vice versa. You wouldn't consider the guy playing 8 man football a city kid.

Yea it is hard to define where somebody is from. Elway may say he is from Cali. But I should have said born in my title as it makes it less ambiguous and easier to research.
