Well you can get it Plain Jane style like the places that have tried to capitalize do it, but it's the other varieties and extras that separate then from the rest. Their "Stymies Choice" is one of the best things I've ever eaten.
You'll see what I mean when you check out their menu. They smother the chicken in gravy and onions on some the platters, plus they have lots of extras you get get like sautéed chicken livers or giblets, candied yams, greens, red beans and rice, Mac and cheese, etc

like most soul food places in the south.
i love fried chicken but i think its a food that can only be so good. also lends itself to being a food that people grew up eating so their favorite is the best ever.
frying chicken is pretty basic imo
