I'm a huge fan of that lineup, SoS. It's virtually unstoppable on offense. Ben and TQ are elite drivers, we know what KH can do, and AB and JP have the potential to fill up the hoop.

I got criticized hard the other day bringing this up...but Victor has to understand his role for LSU to be successful. He brings something to our team that we desperately needed. But we don't need him to shoot 15 times a game...like he's been doing lately. I'll say it again, I love the guy...love him. But the only player who should be forcing shots is Ben. If Ben had Victor's aggressiveness he would drop 35 a game.

I think Victor is a major reason why LSU has turned around it's rebounding woes. If I would have told you that thru 7 games, LSU would have allowed the LEAST amount of offensive rebounds per attempt in the SEC would you have believed me?

Well are are. Pretty amazing, but if Victor is out due to foul trouble, I'd rather go 4 guards and play that 2/3 zone than go with extended minutes with Elbert/Darcy in man to man.

Is Victor really "forcing" shots? He's shooting ~46% (not great, but not horrible either). He and Simmons have a pretty good hi-low game which allows him to get good looks at the rim. I guess the only shots you could argue are "questionable" are his 14-18 jumpers. However, those shots are some of the few open looks LSU's offense generates in and of itself. The majority of the time LSU's shots are completely predicated on guys making something happen one-on-one or taking semi-contested looks.

Defenses are happy to just pack things in and let everyone (but Hornsby) shoot from deep. Victor can pull guys away from the basket if he can knock down a few jumpers. He's just inconsistent and has to have some discretion on nights where he is off. Still, I think you have to have he and Simmons take some of those open looks to at least pose a threat to the opposing defense.
