This should come as no surprise to anyone. It's the way the Russians have waged war forever. They're not like us, they're not our friends, and only a fool would trust them. Their interests in this world are not the same as ours and unlike the US, the Russians always look out for their own interests. People need to start understanding this about them.

Dan Carlin's "Ghosts of the Ostfront" could give some people an education of the Russian Psyche.

These terrorists are as much a threat to the Russian way of life as they are to ours. Even more so. Russian has a large Muslim southern population that is sympathetic to these radicals. This is "killing them over there before they come here". This isn't just random.
