that's one big component of the spread and I hope that Miles/Cam have gotten it through their, at times seemingly, thick skulls that spreading out a defense can actually be a big asset to the run game.
Just think of the damage Fournette could do lined up next to Harris out of the shotgun with 4WR's and the defense having to respect the pass. Of course this is predicated on Harris and the WR's being able to complete passes and earning that respect from defenses.

LSU ran out of some 10 and 11 sets in '15. Not nearly with success of 21 and 22.
You're hung up on spread and should ask Guru Gus if it was some cure all this year.
