Everyone is calling his not being a current commit a travesity. Personally I don't think he is an sec QB, but my opinion is pretty worthless. Duke can actually ball.
Who was the db/wr prospect a year or two ago everyone was calling for to be offered? Forget his name If I remember right he was offered and never panned out.
I can see the same thing with Scott. But everyone is up in arms saying he is dam near a must get, even getting super bowl running quarterback comparisons.
Sorry I don't rant often on here because I know how silly it sounds reading everyone else's
Can anyone remember what prospect I am talking a 1-3 years ago. Pretty sure he was a Baton Rouge area kid as well.
EDIT Russell gage was the recruit I was thinking of
I remember lots of people saying we would really miss out if we didn't sign him

You felt the need to make another thread and couldn't put this into the other 10 threads about him on the front page?

While I think Scott is a good player, i think many people want Scott bad because we have to get a QB in this class, period. It would simply be bad recruiting if we didn't. If there's 1 thing Miles has learned over the years here it's to NOT skip out on taking a QB in any 1 class.
How Scott would do here remains to be seen, at minimum I think the offense needs to be tailored to him in a shotgun spread...but the fact is a grand majority want him here for the primary reason we need a guy, and if not anyone else we've tried, why not a firey competitive in-state kid who won player of the year.

Uhhhh no he can't. He's a total liability every time he was on the field the past season.

Huh? He was pretty solid, he's a starting OLB next year for sure.

Steele's scheme made duke look really bad. Dude balled as a sophomore in Chavis system with Kwon out for a couple of games.

The best qbs are the ones with the most heart and best work ethic. No recruiting analyst or poster on here can judge those attributes. Some guys don't even have that when they get to college but do develop them. Nobody knows whether Scott will be good or not.

Even if Scott switches positions (ala Terrence Magee), he's still an outstanding football player to have on this team.
You can't pass up Ballers from the Boot, even if they don't currently seem to fit the scheme.
How many times have we wished we could've had a Dak Prescott, Patrick Ramsey, Munchie Legeaux etc...on the team?

Did anyone really want Muchie Legeaux?

of course, Scott was Gatorades player of the year. did you consider that?
and our qb stable doesn't have much of a reputation. did you consider that?
and riley plays a different position. did you consider that?
I think your post is slurring the kids. pigeonholing people is not good. Player A is not Player B.

I don't know why everyone keeps harping in the Gatorade POY of the year thing like that means he's a sure thing. Didn't the winner from a few years back sign with SELU?
