What kind of melt would we have?

If Lindsey Scott doesn't commit to us, and we close out 2016 without a QB?
Everyone is talking like a it's a foregone conclusion that he'll commit...

There would be an epic melt. And I agree that too many people are talking like Scott is definitely in the bag.

Harris will start the next two years and play himself into the NFL. We'll follow that up with Narcisse and Dinkelmann battling it out for the next few years.
We're a'ight.
We're a'ight.

we close out 2016 without a QB?
ETA: Shep was a MUCH better QB then LSJ

You think we get the number one class and there would be an epic melt? No way. Also, even if he commits, him starting a game here would not be a sure thing. Harris for two more, McMillan already here and Narcaisse next year.

Russell Shepherd has a noodle for an arm. That isn't the case with Scott.

another project type of QB just for the sake of taking a QB won't affect this class either way.
ideally we would've liked to have signed an elite type of QB.
but this class is going to be a special type of class with or without a qb commitment.

It's amazing we're gonna finish with the #1 class and people are still finding a reason to be pissed off

Where do you see this?
People talking about him, but not like it's a given.

Shep was NEVER a possible college QB.

The one complaint and reason we haven't won a NC is because we can't get a QB. We sign the greatest class in the history of college football and the one thing missing is a QB

This is false. What makes you think this??? Because Shep was rated higher?? Shep was simply an athlete playing quarterback. He was not a better QB.

There shouldn't be a meltdown to anyone with common sense. You have Harris for 2 more years. Etling, Jennings & McMillan as backups. Then you maybe have Narcisse & possibly another qb in 2017. Dinkelmann in 2018.
It is smart to sign a qb in every class, but we'll be ok if we don't. You can always sign 2 the next year. I don't think anyone would expect Scott to come in and win the qb competition anytime soon anyway.

Great class but what has been our biggest problem? The answer to that question is the explanation to your post.
