You are the epitome of ignorant. Simmons can't shoot. Other than that his offensive game is elite. He's an elite passer, elite dribbler, elite at getting to the rim. Ask yourself this question: Why does every basketball person in the know think he's the best player in college basketball, but I think he isn't? The answer is because you're ignorant and you

ok, sure. Ok, let's assume LSU didn't get Simmons. You had Quarterman, Gray, Hornsby and Patterson coming back, was going to add Victor and Blakeney, and hope to get some improvement from Epps and Elbert. This coming from a team that was in the NCAA's and seems to hover around the 19-20 win mark under Coach Jones. Where would you predict them to finish; maybe around 18 or so wins again, scrapping to get near the bubble? Probably an NIT berth?

So you add in the best prospect in a decade, and his impact is... what? We were talking Sweet 16 at a minimum before the season. Instead, we need a strong run to make the tourney. Marquee wins? Kentucky, otherwise known as "that team Auburn beat".

If you're drafting on potential, sure, he's got a ton of tools. But he's not getting the results. He wasn't coming in billed as the best rebounder since Rodman, he was the next Lebron James, or at least Kevin Durant. I don't see where he will ever be as good as either of those guys.

As I said, the kid is basically a tall point guard without a jumper. He'll make a fine complement in the pros to a team with a good scorer, but I just don't see him being the cornerstone of a top franchise. If he can't will LSU to wins over Florida, Wake Forest, Charleston, NC State, Marquette etc, I don't see that happening in the NBA.

So being in the top 3 in the conference in every category except steals, where he is top 15 isn't getting the results? Have you ever thought that LSU probably wouldn't sniff 20 wins without him? My goodness.

Scoob, I've come across some gems on TD, but you're special.

Victor and Hornsby didn't play half the year. Without Simmons this team would be worse...that's his impact.

Simmons scores 20 points per game on 56% shooting and people say he has no offensive game. Forget the fact that he's so good and the dribble drive every opposing team gets at least 2-3 players in foul trouble.

I'm just blown away by some of these people. Kevin Durant shot 19 shots a game in college. If Simmons chose to shoot 19 times, he would also score 25 or above like Durant does.

I truly feel sorry that don't think Simmons is one of the best to ever play at this place.
