Stray cats can be assholes too. Ike when they make little cat gangs and start pooping on the sidewalk and scratching up cars.

My mom has had a few stray cats around our house as long as I can remember and never seen this.

They'll walk on the cars but never scratch them. It's hilarious when you start the engine and they dart out from underneath the engine

ETA:

She buys the super cheap giant bag of dry cat food at Sams and fills the bowl behind the garage like once a week. In return she gets a squirrel or mouse head on the patio once a week

We had strays come around the first house I bought. One had a litter of kittens and used to sleep under my company car. Got in my car one day and drove to a customers office in Atlanta. Parked on the top level of the parking deck and went inside for my meeting. When I got back to my car I put the keys in the ignition to start the car while sitting sideways with my legs still hanging out. The radio volume was average. Swung my legs in and started closing the door when I hear an alarming animal shriek. It kept going and I thought it was part of the song on the radio for a few seconds. Finally turned the radio down and the shrieking continued. WTF is going on! Looked around the inside of the car and then opened the door again and could hear it louder. Damn kitten was wedged in the hinge area of my door. All I could see was its face and the only opening was to tiny for me to reach my hand in. I felt so sorry for that little kitten but had no way to reach it even when laying on my back and trying to get to it from underneath. I had to have the door opened to a certain degree to make the seam big enough but every time I got to a certain point it would pinch the kitten. I could see its paw all mangled an bleeding. Went into my customers office and told him he wouldn't believe the dilemma but I have a damn cat stuck in my door. Finally decided to call animal control and trying to explain to them the situation was hard because she could not comprehend how a cat was stuck in my car door. The guy finally showed up about 45 minutes later and used an extended arm with grippers to pull it out. It was alive and only seemed to have the one leg and paw crushed. Only thing I could figure is it rode in my engine compartment for 40 miles and once I parked and cut the engine it tried to escape down through the side and got lodged in the hinge area.
That's all I got to say about cats.
