Then you look at the talent in the NFL and it's just filthy. Top round picks, starting RBs on 3 playoff teams, record breaking WRs, a pro bowl offensive lineman (Turner) plus several starting OL and a rookie making a name for himself. All pros on defense in the secondary, 4 starting linebackers on 4 different teams, several starting DL players, not including a rookie hybrid backup with 7 sacks. I mean it's just unbelievable the talent that has run through this place since 2007 (yes all these players I'm talking about have played at LSU AFTER 2007), yet LSU has 1 conference championship plus 1 conference championship berth, 1 national championship berth (including a sickening loss in it), and one season with less than 2 losses...

And there-in is the travesty. LSU does more than just about any other program in putting great talent into the NFL. So great, LSU should be receiving stipends for what they do. (Potential) Players see that success. It just hasn't translated to great, cohesive team success in some time.

The difference is that most all of this NFL talent finishes its development in the NFL where similar talent at Alabama finishes it their senior years at Alabama.

Sooner or later some of you guys will realize that this NFL success only helps LSU win championships when our players stop leaving early - the mass early exit trend that started after 2011 is what allows Bama to dominate and other teams to be competitive against us. Four star soph and junior players are great but not necessarily any better than a fully developed squad of 3-star seniors.

This, plus some pretty big whiffs at the QB position.
