I know the pumpers will tell me I have unrealistic expectations, go ahead and tell me that I'm taking college football too seriously. I don't think I am; I don't think it's too much to ask for us to be right there in the thick of things at the end of November every year.

These aren't unrealistic expectations. LSU will had its 3rd top 6 class in a row, one of the highest paid coaching staffs in CFB, and losing to Arkansas AND Ole Miss in back to back games is not something that should be accepted. Losing to them by multiple TDs is ridiculous. Fumbling around with the likes of Syracuse and Eastern Michigan is pitiful.

Then you look at the talent in the NFL and it's just filthy. Top round picks, starting RBs on 3 playoff teams, record breaking WRs, a pro bowl offensive lineman (Turner) plus several starting OL and a rookie making a name for himself. All pros on defense in the secondary, 4 starting linebackers on 4 different teams, several starting DL players, not including a rookie hybrid backup with 7 sacks. I mean it's just unbelievable the talent that has run through this place since 2007 (yes all these players I'm talking about have played at LSU AFTER 2007), yet LSU has 1 conference championship plus 1 conference championship berth, 1 national championship berth (including a sickening loss in it), and one season with less than 2 losses.

Since the last national championship win, LSU has lost at least 3 games in 6 of those 8 years. We have been to 3 big bowl games in Miles's 11 year tenure with 2 of them coming in the first 3 years. LSU's talent is second only to Bama in the SEC West. LSU has finished no better than 3rd in the West the past 3 years. Finishing 3rd, 5th, and 4th in you own division with the talent and expense LSU pays for coaching and recruiting, makes zero sense.

And there-in is the travesty. LSU does more than just about any other program in putting great talent into the NFL. So great, LSU should be receiving stipends for what they do. (Potential) Players see that success. It just hasn't translated to great, cohesive team success in some time.

Datbayoubengal hit a home run on this. Too much talent going through the program to finish with second third and or fourth place in the West. Les can fix it or he will move on the bigger and better things outside of LSU.

Quoting this for posterity. This is one of the most rational things I have read on this site, and really drives home where the program has been the last couple of years.

Made it here, realized you're likely one of the ones who don't watch the games, and just comes here to bitch, and has no clue what games LSU actually wins and loses, and how they look, and stoppe reading. For fricks sake man. With EVERYTHING you guys have to bitch about, I still see totally fabricated shite every. Single. Time.
