I felt bad for La'Porsha, but she found out she got a recording contract immediately after the show, so I don't have to feel TOO bad for her.

I've read that some believe the ones who don't have to live by the AI rules as winners many times come out better, so she may be one of those folks.

I also read that Phillip Phillips has a suit against the AI related recording co or some co related to the AI deal, but I can't recall why or any other details.

Don't know that Kara Dioguardi deserved a whole song, though.

She was nothing but an annoyance when she was a judge and I wouldn't have even thought of her as a judge had they not brought her back for the show. She wasn't memorable other than falling all over herself over one of the male contestants such that it was uncomfortable and embarrassing. I wish I could remember who that was. In any event, she deserved no more than Nikki Manaj...a 5 second clip. Manaj didn't really deserve that. She contributed to the worst season ever. I guess the other diva was too good to record a clip or probably figured a reminder of her involvement in that season wasn't a good thing for her career with which I agree.

Trent's life will change for the better, how much remains to be seen. I hope he does well. I guess there's no summer tour. Didn't they cut that out completely a few years back? Seems like they couldn't fill up the shows and then cut back on the number of shows and it eventually fizzled out. Used to be that the ones making the top 10 were thrilled because it meant they made the tour and would get paid for the summer.

LaPorsha reminds me of Candice Glover. Same type of singer in a lot of ways, though she's better. Never heard of Candice again after her win until last night.

I can't recall who sang right after Rueban. I think Pia sang last in that group and there was the dark haired girl who sang with the harp after him, I believe. I know who she is, but I can't recall her name.

Was that Carly Smithson? She was one of my favorites. I just don't remember if she had a harp accompanying her.
