Sorry for your loss. We lost a pet last year, had to put him down. We were a wreck. None of us could be in there when he was put to sleep. That's my only regret. Even though we were emotional wrecks, I wish I was there for him to see him out instead him being surrounded by strangers and scared. That got me choked up just typing it. Hang in there.

I went through this Tuesday. I couldn't hardly stay in the room after I agreed with the vet to put him down. I petted his head and left as quick as I could to control my emotions. As soon I got to my truck I broke down.

That's where my family is. I was in the back of the truck when he passed away. I was doing my best to keep him calm and comfortable. I didn't realize he was gone until we got to the hospital and they told me.
