Fishing is meh around there. I used to live right off of Waikiki and often walked to the marina to see what they were catching. It was pretty much the same: plenty of mahi (chicken dolphin), different types of small jacks, and the occasional ono (wahoo). There are plenty of photo's of massive Tuna and Marlin at the marina, but I saw none brought in, and I lived there for 6 months.
Side note, one of the perks to frequenting the marina, was I got to meet several of the captains. Most every customer that fished, had no place to cook/eat the fish, so they let the captain keep and sell everything. Being that I became friends with them, they would call me when they had fish they couldn't sell and they would just give them to me. Needless to say, I ate plenty of chicken dolphin while I was down there.
