Yah I feel that my Hugo boss suits are better than what 90% of the guys I come across in my work and social scene wear but obviously the commodities big shots in Chicago are rocking true tailors and much finer labels / quality work.
Maybe one day - but IMO the styles change so damn fast that it might not make sense to spend much more than the $700 or so (on a $1700 retail suit) that I'm currently doing. For example, my favorite ever suit is a Hugo Boss black w really subtle pinstripes - it was so cool and it's only 20 months old. Yet I'm noticing that it's no longer as cool as it was - it's not fitted enough and I'm way more comfortable wearing it to important work events now than I was when I first got it bc it's not nearly as "fashion forward" as it was just 2 years ago.
Ditto w jeans and dress shirts FWIW but obviously the price points are much lower on those

I wasn't meaning to knock your jacket I was just more or less stating that a lot of the big brand names just sell because of their name. As long as it looks good on the person it doesn't matter who made it or how much it cost.
