I like it how it is. I liked the BCS how they tried to get the 2 best teams to play for the championship.

But sometimes the #3 team had an argument.

So to remedy that, they added the #3 team and #4 team to the mix so now everyone who is deserving of playing for the National Championship can decide it on the field.

It's perfect.

There is no need to expand it to 8 teams. I like the high-stakes of college football how it was with the BCS and how it is now.

I don't want the #8 team getting a shot.

The season is long enough with 12 games + bye week + conference championship.

I think 4 playoff teams are sufficient .

Clemson belongs:
Alabama belongs

Arguments for 8 teams :

Ohio State is probably better than Michigan State but the buckeyes lost the H2H.

Michigan State should have lost to Michigan.

Oklahoma lost to Texas but ran the table thereafter .

Ohio State only had one loss and handily won against Notre Dame:

Stanford : a team that had an ugly loss at northwestern to start the season but played well down the stretch. Had senior leadership at QB and offensive line + mccaffery. Well coached too.
