Why is Blakeney getting so many minutes?

The kid doesn't make 3-pointers anymore...doesn't rebound, doesn't steal, doesn't produce assists. Not ragging on the kid, but what value is he bringing to the court to justify the huge amount of minutes he's getting from CJJ?

He actually put out a lot of effort tonight. Very active on loose balls.

Blakeney is going to explode real soon imo. Hopefully it's this Tuesday.

More importantly, tonight was the first time all season Blakeney drove to the basket.

In HS, this kid could shoot the 3, run/finish fast-breaks, & dribble drive to the bucket.

Well, in college, he can't shoot for shite, still runs/finishes on fastbreaks, but doesn't dribble drive...until tonight, just once, for the first time this year.

Why isn't he driving more, especially when his outside shot is not falling?

Blakeny has improved on D and I agree with whoever said to drive more. Hes athletic, take it to them until the shot starts to fall

He plays solid defense, hustles, makes the right passes, and just plays hard and tough. Plus his shot will start to fall eventually, he's too good of a shooter to stay in this slump.

Blakeney really hasn't been good, but you'd rather him out there than Sampson.

Blakeney was playing better than anyone else on the team during the preseason tourney and even the first few games of the season. He's in a slump right now. Once he gains his confidence back he'll be putting up big numbers.

Bump

Tone has been playing his arse off lately and, like I said in this thread, he'll get out of his slump.
