If you don't see the benefit to your school by having the rest of the conference teams win, then I can't help you.

Regardless of what you think, it's good to have a strong conference.

Could not disagree with this more. It is so wrong. It was bad enough during the BCS era, when at least SOS in the regular season was a factor, so rooting for teams you play to be ranked higher at least makes some sense. But that is not the case anymore. SEC teams lost OOC games this year to Memphis, Toledo and Texas Tech. Did that hurt Bama? No. It didn't even hurt LSU in the first playoff rankings.

But rooting for teams you have to compete with for recruits to win bowls and worse National Titles is counter productive. Think we lose guys like Cam Robinson and Landon Collins to Bama if they are not winning NCs? Collins flat out said he loved Bama from watching them beat Texas. Now we have OM winning Sugar Bowls and battling them for recruits. So short sighted.

Lets think about this for a second... Ole Miss has NEVER been to Atlanta for the SECCG..And just went to the Sugar Bowl for the 1st time since 1970... You have Miss St. on the rise as well as Arkie.. The SEC west is tough...I want NONE of them to have a chance at ANY of our possible recruits............

I would LOVE to see Clemson beat Bama... I doubt it happens but screw Bama.... They are the enemy........

Speaking of short-sighted...

I'm not talking individual games, I'm talking full seasons...multiple seasons.

lol... Who knows? Maybe they just didn't wan to go to LSU? Not everyone loves LSU... Success breeds success, and playing in a strong conference opens the doors to more athletes from across the country, and not just the Robinson's and Collins' of the world.

But, hey, I guess you'd be okay with being the King of Turd Mountain...some would prefer to play against the best week in/ week out. I guess we're just wired differently.

You can't take what sways one recruit and apply it to all recruits. Some simply won't leave their home state or grow up with a team that they'll go to no matter what. Most kids treat it as a business and try to make a decision that best fits their situation.
