also his pure hatred of the new BSG.

It isn't just his hatred of BSG. It is his refusal to even watch it.

Given the small amount of good Sc-Fi, it really is mind boggling he won't even watch 33.

I'm old. I grew up on Trek reruns and the original BSG. New BSG is so far superior to the original that it isn't even fair to consider them in the same genre.

And... I initially hated the idea of a female Starbuck as much as he does.

I watched 3 seasons of it. It was okay, but I don't get the love for it.

If it makes you cats feel better, I'm rethinking it for 2016. I'll be proven correct - I'm confident - with the Abrams, "Fast and Furious in Space" so-called "Star Trek" - many have already realized how bad those films are with the passage of time.

But, I just watched this documentary, "Chaos on the Bridge" about the power struggles behind TNG - and I really like Ronald D. Moore. I always did, but, for whatever reason, seeing his interviews in that have me rethinking BSG.

I mean, I have to pick my battles, right? I can be strident and inflexible about Star Trek and Star Wars - the original Battlestar was borderline camp and not nearly as serious a final product as TOS.

And you guys' "encouragement" was on my mind when I began to reconsider my position on BSG - Stardoe or not.
