Any updates on players thoughts on Steele bolting to auburn?

Also how bad will this hurt us in recruiting?

I believe it will hurt worse in Junior retention with having to learn a new scheme. Most notably Beckwith and maybe LaCouture.

If the reports are true about his scheme being way too complicated, that may be a benefit

I agree. If there was a chance of Beckwith & Neal staying that's out the window now.

Well, I really liked that complicated scheme last night. It could also be that it was complicated because the players were having to learn something new and more diverse.

Their spread it out and run around the pocket offense made us simplify our defense, and that's why you liked it so much. We were VERY basic last night

Kevin steele was able to develop a pass rush which was a nice upgrade over Chavis,but all other elements of our defense felt mediocre at best.

Well the good thing is the defense never really learned how to play his zone BS, so they can go back to man to man and just cover the guy in front of them.....

Not really sure why you mentioned Neal? He isn't thinking of gong early is he?

I would like to think that improved pass rush was Coach O's doing not Steele...
