Les Miles and the other coaches embrace the NFLU moniker and recruits players with the notion that LSU is the best and quickest way to the NFL. Couple this with the fact this team isn't competing for championships, and you have your answer.
How can you recruit players telling them NFLU, then try to recruit them to stay when they want to leave and pursue their dreams?

This. Les has made it clear they preach NFL readiness to recruits. There's certainly more to the message, but this is a big part of it.
