Haskins is a baller, there is no way around that fact.

Eason can play in any system, he isn't a system qb, he just can play. He wants to play pro style in college to prepare for the league from what I have read. We would be foolish to choose anyone over him given the choice. With that said, Haskins can play and I do think he is more game ready than Franks, just might not have as high of a ceiling.

What are you going on about? I never said he wasn't good, he's damn good from what I've seen but it is extremely rare for a spread QB, or hell any QB in high school, to transition immediately to a pro style offense in college. He'll also be doing it with a bunch of freshman and sophomores at WR and no legit receiving threats. He'll be better in year two, but that pass offense will struggle in the first year of the new regime.

The biggest mistake the coaches made all year was trying to go fish for Franks after he committed to Florida. Haskins should have been the target all year. He's out shined Franks at every event and was extremely high on LSU and is more likely to be able to contribute as a freshmen. The full court press should have been on Haskins rather than wasting any more time on Patterson and Franks.

Preach!

That's why I said LSU is reactive instead of proactive. From Frank's own mouth, LSU knew about him wavering in his commitment for a month, yet chose not to take other measures in obtaining another QB.

Then after he finally does leave and goes to UF, we do some insane rocks at his window, love music on a boom box type shite to get him back.

Cam just can't seem to let go of that unicorn that reminds him of a mobile Joe Flacco just waiting to be molded.

Hopefully he's watching the bowl game and realizing he could make those throws.

Where is this article about Franks saying LSU knew for a month he wasn't coming?

I'm not about to search for the link but Shea posted info about him around the whole decommitment and it said that he had been letting the staff know that he wanted to look around since before the bama game when we were undefeated. Cam kept trying to convince him to hang on.

meh. I think they're about the same. Franks is just a better all around athlete at this point in time because of height. But that's splitting hairs.

good call

I watched UA, Semper Fi, and today's Army AA game. SP looked better than ALL QBs in all games. The way I saw it was:

1. SP
2. Malik Henry (FS commit)
3. Everyone else looks erratic.

I was most interested with not just arm talent, but knowing where to go when protection broke down. Everyone else took off running or was wholly inaccurate while being pressured.

Haskins has always impressed me in camp. I'm not sure how much his regular season schedule challenged him. But I still say he's a good prospect. Not willing to over state that the way I believe many here have.

Patterson will start his 2nd year on campus. Haskins may as well.
