Ok so I got an Xbox one for Christmas and I'm going through the initial setup and downloading apps. I see Amazon has one and it's for movies and TV. It says if you are a prime member (which I am) that you can watch for free. So I downloaded the app, logged on and now it's saying that i need to sign up for prime and upgrade my membership. Am I reading it wrong? Any one else with similar problems?

I think you can get the first month of prime for free. If you do a lot of online shopping it is worth having it. Make sure to cancel prime before your first month if not amazon will charge you $100 i believe for the year. I have prime but also do a lot of online shopping so I get my money worth. I feel most of the free movies can be found on netflix. Although, prime has some pretty good series: Alpha House for instance and just about all past HBO series.

EDIT
sorry misread, thought you said you were not a prime member

Could it be that I'm still under the 6 month free trial from using my student email?

I would call amazon prime and tell them your situation. I'm sure this is not a common occurrence and can be fixed over the phone

I use Amazon prime video all the time. Make sure the video you're watching is actually under prime though eve cause you can't rent it.

Kept reading forums online and found out that the 6 month free student prime doesn't slow video streaming. I already have HBO, showtime, and starz so screw it.

There you go. Not worth it then. Assuming you have a netflix acct too, most of the free prime movies and shows can be found on there.

I actually like prime a lot more than Netflix. Has a much better selection.

Not really a yawner. We both had to stop and discuss shite sometimes because some of the plots go so many different directions.

The end kinda through me for a huge loop. I'll probably check out the next season now we invested in the entire first
