Chavis recruited more for A&M during the time he says he was still employed by LSU than he did in the entire time he was actually employed by LSU.

He didn't even want to recruit the LBs that Frank put right in front of him. Debo Jones and Donnie Alexander were recruited as safeties (as far as Chavis thought) and Beckwith as a DE (still Brick's best recruiting pull). Kenny Young, Denzel Devall, Tim Williams, none were good enough to play LB for Chavis.
