how many nights? have you traveled internationally before?

Alaska might work. But pretty much anywhere tropical is going to be hot in July, unless you were to go to indonesia or something.

Looking at seven nights. We have been to many places in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. was looking at maybe Argentina, Canary Islands/Spain, or maybe Italy since that is one place in Europe we haven't been to.

Argentina

My wife and I went to Argentina and had an amazing time. Airline tickets are pricey but everything else is very cheap. Spent time in Buenos Ares and then flew to Mendoza to tour wine country. Also, rented a car and drove through the Andes. Fabulous trip.

sounds really unpleasant for 7 days. It takes two days to get to argentina. And a full day to get to spain / back.

but that is just me.

If you want to head south, we LOVED Colombia and Peru and its a lot closer than argentina.

dude, your requirement that it not be too hot is toast if you go to Spain or Italy in mid summer.

southern hemisphere. New Zealand. lovely, pristine.
