Hard to believe coaches turn down Texas.
I guess with an unstable coaching situation it is hard to leave a stable environment.
With the talent at Texas why not take that job and in one year you could be the hottest commodity on the market if you produce.
Has talent evaluation really been Texas downfall?
Even in down years they should be able to cherry pick anyone.
It's not like that conference has SEC heavyweights to deal with.
No reason Baylor, TCU, Okl St should be above them

Zero players drafted Mack's last year and almost no talented upperclassmen. It's a big part for sure. Charlie didn't help himself out with his initial hirings and continued faith in Shaun Watson. His hole is probably too deep to dig out of at this point, especially with the circus this OC search is turning into

man, you sure have the wrong idea about Texas. maybe you should review their history. they were a powerhouse when Darryl Royal was there and that's about it. ok, mac had some teams that excelled. but tejas has wandered in the wilderness as much or more than most top programs.

every damn team in the south, southeast and mid west recruits the hell out of the state not to mention the number of instate schools. it takes the exact same attributes to be successful there as anywhere else.
