No, having to play against Bama's defense and having the Mcneese St. game cancelled cost him the Heisman. Fournette was running against stacked boxes all year, and was doing just fine. Only one running back ran for over 50 yards against Alabama all year. None of the Heisman finalists had to play against Bama's D, none of them had a game cancelled, and all of them played in a championship game.
