I started out as a dock operator too with SGS. Did that for about three years and got hired on as an operator in a plant. The money as an actual plant operator is very good now that I've topped out and don't really rely on OT.

You couldn't pay me enough to do shift work. I've had plenty of chances to go into a plant or railroad and make atleast double what I make now (which isn't much, but still good money) and never thought twice about it.
