Because if a team only squeaks by teams that aren't good, it's an indication that they're not playing to their max capabilities.
You'd really be happy with 1-point wins over EMU, Syracuse, WKU, etc???

Yes. LSU wins. I'm happy. The margin of victory doesn't change. The object is to win. Anything more than 1 point is wasted.
Unless one has a fragile self worth and he pins all of it in being able to brag about how "we" beat up on someone. Which is foolish because he didn't do anything but sit in his arse and drink.
