Weirdly omitted from the OP - but I agree on the whole vintage Guilds - fantastic sounding guitars. As they have revised their manufacturing process and location over the years, I'm not sure they're up there with Taylor and Martin at the top, but should be right there with the next group.
My acoustics are Ovation and Guild, FTR. If I had the money for a higher end acoustic, it would be Taylor - or a vintage Guild.
