Texas, Tennessee, Nebraska, Miami, Michigan, etc
None of those teams had an established national championship winning head coach on the hook for the job
Texas - Saban
Michigan - Miles
*both are established national championship winning head coaches

Lloyd Carr wasn't even fired for f*cks sake. He had an 18-6 conference record his last three years and he hadn't finished lower than third place in conference during his last 11 years.
Mack Brown was fired (forced out) before they had a coach and Charlie Strong is a damn good coach believe it or not. He has a lot of work to do because of Macks laziness during recruiting the last 3 years of his job. They only had 15 commits in 2013. Mack really overstayed his welcome for about 3 years.
The two situations aren't even close to ours.
