I'm an LSU alum and understand the academic issues facing the school.

I still have a problem with the president admitting that he nixed the deal for political purposes.

if you're going to make a statement, just endorse Miles and say you feel he is a great man and coach. You don't come out and say, he's mainly being retained to save face before going before the legislature. Seriously, what moron in the PR office allowed this statement to go out?

He knows exactly what he's fricking doing, he's flexing his nuts and saying "I won't give you what you want until we get funding."
