Norfolk & Fleet also flooded in 86. Houses that never had water in them. I've got pics somewhere.
It turned out to be a Wards creek and blocked drainage issue that got cleared.
Im not aware of that part of the hood flooding again. Other parts as mentioned, can have issues during large gully washers.

Were you on Fleet? My wife has an old eccentric cousin on Fleet. Nice guy but he's a strange cat.
