I don't believe that, but a lot of SC fans are freaking out right now.

If we don't hire someone by this time next week, then I'll be concerned about Elliot getting hired.

Hiring Shawn Elliott would be a colossal disaster of a coaching hire. USC would be better just nabbing a hot name offensive coordinator or someone like Jeremy Pruitt rather than settling for someone who did a pretty bad job as the interim.
