quote:OK? Clearly last season's team is not the same.
Let's be honest HOU won 56 games last season with no D12 for half the season plus a myriad of other injuries.
quote:Well that's just not true. Tougher schedule + more road games = more losses if performance stayed constant.
Even if the schedule gets tougher on paper that doesn't mean a whole lot.
quote:What are you talking about? If one team is better than the other, then a victory over the better team is going to less likely. That's grade school probability.
If one team plays the Lakers and one plays the 6ers does one team really have an advantage over the other? Eben though SOS says so? No both opponents suck.
quote:How can you say this? Right now they are getting OUTSCORED by > 7 points per game, while playing teams with an average record below 0.500 and playing nearly 2/3 of their games at home.
When HOU hits they stride it doesn't matter if they're playing a .500 team or a .400 team HOU will be easily better than the opponent so I don't really fret much over SOS.
All of a sudden they are going to make up those 7 points, against tougher teams, on the road? And do it easily.
You are beyond delusional in your overconfidence.

Look at Lakers or the 6ers.. the Lakers have a better win % but are they a tougher opponent than the 6ers? Not necessarily. Just bc a team has a better win % doesn't mean that they are more difficult to win against. Grade school common sense IMO. A tougher SOS doesn't automatically mean tougher games to win, especially a SOS based off less than 1/4 of the season.
