I agree. When I was shopping for the Colorado, I was shocked to see a 5' bed on most crew cabs. I got the 6' and am glad I did.

Got a 5 foot bed with a ARE cap. It's plenty of space for my camping gear. I think the 6 foot beds look weird. Long and narrow. But that's just my preference.
