My son still drives my old 2003 Silverado with about 250K (had 242K when I passed it on). The dash didn't crack and the interior is almost perfect after 12.5 years.

I've owned several GMs actually. I like many of their vehicles. Just from what I've seen on various forums over the years, they do not hold up as well as others to me.
