No he didn't. Mett was at Georgia and in JC before he came to LSU. The only quarterbacks that have been developed from scratch under Miles and his OC's and played substantial time are Lee, Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris. Think about that for a minute.
I like how Miles gets zero credit for Flynn, who Miles coached longer than Saban.

So what is his excuse for having Harris get worse s the year goes?
BH regressed because he lost confidence in himself and the offensive players lost confidence in him. That falls on the shoulders of the coaching staff for not having him ready for the schedule in November. This post was not to defend CC but to simply say, he knows how to develop. Les/CC should have put Harris in situations early in the season that would have prepared him for November. That did not happen.

This.
Give George Whitfield a million bucks a year and a 10 year contract to be a full time LSU QB coach

I think Harris had his confidence shattered against Bama. I'm hopeful during the offseason, they can build off his early success from this year and make him better. It's way too soon to say Cam is not capable of developing Harris.
Or maybe the competition before the Bama game was really that week?

You username is fitting.

He needs to get out of the press box and get on the field and start coaching on game day, commutate with his quarter backs face to face if he needs to, he needs to make this point with les!!They need to change something and this would be a great start

Well Jimbo was also here for 4/5 years of Flynn's tenure and that guy might be the best college QB developer alive.

I completely agree with this..go down on the field and coach your players.

This guy can develop QBs, so all those out there that want to say otherwise, this is for you.
Not all development is a straight upward march. Sometimes, players take backward steps before they develop more.

Good thing Miles kept Jimbo on staff, huh?

I guess. But since losing him he has had 3 OCs and they've all been pretty bad QB developers of raw HS talent.
Flynn had Saban for a year and Jimbo for 4. Mett had Richt/Bobo for a year and Juco for a year and was a polished talent even out of HS.
Maybe we can get another kid that is polished out of HS instead of a kid that is raw.

Are you incapable of admitting Lee was developed?

Weird, so quarterbacks that were good in college, come into the NFL, and as they get more experience, their stats get better.
Groundbreaking stuff. Well done

The elite 11 passer in HS that broke a pick-6 record at LSU then was benched his senior year mid-season and effectively never had a football career afterwards?
Yeah.

All this shows me is that CC can put together a pretty good offense around a developed, NFL QB.
We're talking about guys that spent 4 years in college developing. Might they have improved a bit under CC? Sure, but this really doesn't mean he can develop a college QB straight out of high school. He hasn't shown that ability.

Because every QB that makes it to the NFL gets better with time? You're right, that is ground breaking.

I like how you use his freshman year as an argument against development while ignoring the stats he put up his senior year.
Thanks for letting me know that you can't be honest.

How many QBs that were GREAT in college fall on their faces in the NFL? I can tell that it is a very long list. CC is 3/3 with QBs during his time in the NFL.
Posted on 12/1/15 at 9:44 am to DoesLSUevenQBbro
That was in the NFL. Those guys were highly rated coming out of college. Mett is the only one that he has had success. Next year, I know, will tell, as either Jennings or Harris will have a second year playing. If neither one develops, then we can put that myth to bed.

I completely agree with you. We do not have enough information on CC's development of college QBs. All we have to go by is his development of NFL QBs. If you can teach NFL QBs new tricks shouldn't you be able to teach college guys the basics?
