Well, you want all you can get in a compact gun. Adding that 1 round is only adding 0.018 pounds. Definitely worth it, because those small mags run out quickly. More ammo choices also. I never had a problem shooting crappy ammo out of it, but my ex had problems initially limp-wristing it, and some FTEs when it was brand new.

Think of it this way.....in a firefight, would you rather shoot someone 3 times with a bullet that's barely bigger, or 4 times with a smaller one?

Eta: I prefer the shorter mag for some reason. Just feels and shoots better for me, even though I have two fingers basically hanging off
