Here's how it works:
When it was only 2 teams there was a possibility of a team or maybe 2 getting shafted.
Now we have 4 teams in and we are debating over 8-10 teams that have a realistic argument. 3 or 4 of those teams will have to fall short even with solid arguments.
An 8 team playoff will have more grey area, subjectivity, and more teams left off right on the edge.
However, I don't mind that. If we are going to go with a playoff, we should do it right. 8 team is appropriate.
