How about Adam Gase. Best young OC in the NFL and he has LSU ties.

Why do we need a new OC? The fans love Les.

It’s a real interesting thing, a serious overhaul of the offense. Does that include Leonard Fournette? Are we taking the running game? Then there’s not a serious overhaul, because the motor appears to be pretty stinking strong, right? Offensive line, protection-wise, was tremendous tonight. Do we want to consider change? You betcha. But I think a serious overhaul, maybe it’s appropriate, but maybe it’s a little much. … When you have change, sometimes there’s staff change, but sometimes there isn’t. That would be a natural contemplation.”

Will make 0 difference who OC is.

There is no chance whatsoever that Gase would give up the OC job with the Bears to take an equivalent position under Les Miles in the college ranks. In any case, it's widely expected that Gase will be an NFL HC next season.

Gase is in the running to be an NFL HC at the end of this season. It'd be a great hire for LSU (OC/HCIW...?) but, let's be realistic; it ain't happening.

Miles wants power running? Fine. Get someone who can implement a passing game out of conventional, pro-style formations.

I'd want someone with past HC experience, hint hint, and I'd want someone with a strong enough personality to tell Miles "NO" when he tries to meddle.
