When you realize that you have a top tier program that gets top talent year in year out and being good just isn't good enough. You make a change to try and get over the hump and compete for championships not just 8-10 win seasons. LSU is capable of make just about any coach a living legend. Neither Saban or Miles were great coaches before they came here. Whether you're a posi-tiger or as they call us nega-tigers we both have the best interest of the program at heart. The difference being posi- tigers are willing to settle for fear that we might return to an era where the talent wanted to leave the state because it gave them better opportunity to make it to the league. These kids today love Louisiana and would love to represent the state. The administration and fans let emotion get in the way of a business decision last night and that is a crying shame. Les appears to be a great guy but the on the field product that's less than stellar. Yeah we win 8-10 games a year with 3 or 4 being given as soon as the schedule is made. That's not good enough if we want to compete for championships. Last night Les mentions ones if it weren't for the mcneese cancelled game we would be playing for an opportunity at another 10 win season. So is that all we play for? Years of winning and losing ugly has worn this fan base down. So get used to it for a couple more years cuz if we couldn't make a change this year after 8 wins then no way can we do it next year or the year after.

It will be great too draw the parallels the next few years. UGA plays in, what is right now, the easier side of the division, but they are very similar to LSU.

Giant wall of idiocy of the week.

If UGA gets a dipshit as the next coach, will y'all finally shut the hell up, even if it's only for a week?

UGA can't do anything wrong in the eyes of Miles haters.

At least they took a chance on getting better instead of being ok with 8-10 win seasons and a bowl appearance. i swear some of you ppl must still work at your very first job with the kinda logic that supports the product we put on the field every week.

It's prolly gonna be Tom Herman. Ya know. The other coach LSU should have went after instead of cowering to the national media and keeping Les cause Jimbo apparently declined... Good job for Georgia on not settling.

They waited 14 years (not 11), so what's your point?

Exactly. Had balls too. Every fanbase in the SEC was on edge and saying not to fire miles. Not because they like him but because they know that he wastes a lot of talent and that if we made a change we might get someone who could turn us into a dynasty. And the media bashed us for wanting to get rid of him because they would like to keep their personal punching bag.
