Good companies also run toward something, not away from it.
Jimbo was not a strategy; it was purely reactionary. LSU was perfectly happy with Les Miles until the losing streak.
Luring a destination coach away from his destination ought not start when you're openly weeping about a losing streak. That's what LSU did, and it lost its guy as a result.
I know a little bit about hiring and firing, and most of the below average intelligent postings here aren't doing much to actually accomplish what LSU hopes to accomplish, but they are helping to prevent it.

Perfectly happy with Les? What?
It's been all down hill since 2011. and even before that ppl were not completely satisfied with him. He's had 4 entire seasons to correct his blunders and still nothing.
I think ppl were happy that LSU was winning...no one was happy with the way we were winning. We were barley squeaking by teams we should beat by 40.

I agree with this, but like I said in the OP, Les must compete for championship next year, and the AD better be ready for it if he doesn't.
