Why is the rant melting?

I have heard nothing but griping about Miles for years. It seems that it is clear that there is going to be a coaching change. Is everyone (or the chicken little posters) afraid, now that it is time to put up or shut up?
1. Jimbo has not said he is not interested. This is not bad.
2. Miles will have a decent send off because of his ambiguous statement to Grid Iron.
3. We are getting what we have asked for since 1/9/12.
People are going nuts. Sit tight. I have absolutely no inside information.
Could everything fall apart? Sure. Do the people in charge have some kind of idea what they are doing? At their pay scale, I should hope so.
I have no scoops or sources to quote. I know nothing but I am not full of fear.
Have a little faith. Geez!

Because we finally thought the clown was gone and got the rug pulled out from under us. I am livid right now that there is even a chance he stays.

People are paying too much attention to the media, they are vilifying us.

I am not a gambler but I would love to play some poker with some of these people. No courage whatsoever.
It will work itself out... Get your panties out of a knot.

I think most of us think his time is over regardless of what happens tomorrow.

The rant is melting as the gullible dance to the $exton $huffle.

God I hate our ignorant fan base. Any other fan base would worship their most successful coach ever ,but not lsu fans.
The coach that just gave lsu it's most successful 10 year stretch ever is a clown?

Not one other SEC fan base wants him as their school's coach. None of them. Any of them would melt if he were announced as their next coach.

It's not melting. Everything is in limbo, kind of exciting, I suppose.
Maybe all coaches, including head coaches should get one year contracts which all expire the same date.

You wanted to fire Miles on January 9, 2012?
I don't have to worry about your opinion any longer, then.

bullshite. The only reason he couldn't get a job is because of age.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Our 2014 season record would be the 2nd best miss st record of the last 8 years. You're crazy of you think fans of South Car, tenn, kentucky, Vandy, mizzou, miss st, Ole miss would melt over getting Miles. Stop letting your hate for Miles cloud your judgement.

Because we don't know what the fck is going on

Most people on the rant play checkers, not chess.
TOO much criticism of Alleva going on here. Yes, he may not be the greatest AD of all time, but appears to me he is actually handling this well....so far.
The biggest tell here is that Alleva, LSU, other boosters and Miles all have not come out and emphatically squashed the conversation. This is enough proof to know that Les is leaving. No "have a great day" speeches and no support being shared from administration. So folks, yes, he's gone. If he had a job, they would all be defending it.
So, since Miles is leaving, Alleva actually is keeping hush because obviously negotiations are happening on the replacement. All legitimate replacements are still coaching teams, people! Some may have big games ahead! Many can't just hop on the next plane and show up here. Alleva has to take this into consideration. Keeping hush over the last week is giving him time to negotiate without any official announcement of Les leaving, and keeping any candidates out of unified glare for as long as he possibly can. Media, hype, growing fanbase backlash, rival boosters, and time exposed--all could harm a deal.
Alleva, in a defacto sense, is also buying time for Miles to make his own plans. This could actually be seen as a courtesy.
The timing of everything, whether Miles will coach a bowl game, or it all ends tomorrow really depends more on the new candidate.
One thing is for sure, all the people on here stomping their feet, expecting everything to all fall into place in one lump action, without missing a beat, just the way they feel it should are the EXACT people that deserve to be the LAST to know what is actually going on.
