I have not seen any posters bash the man personally. He is a great man who deserves to have as many accolades for him as can be. He did wonderful things here. Its just time for a change. The bashing is only football related. People who are supporting Miles the coach just do not know much about college football and how it works

Congratulations for inspiring some of the most hateful vitriolic posts on tRant on Thanksgiving Day. You really should be banned for this troll.

No, you petulant child. We are the type that beleives when a man does a great job for you, for a decade, you show him some dignity and respect, even if it is time for him to go.

I agree and Les will always be my favorite LSU coach.
Guys, it's imperative that this new regime unite this fan base; and I think they can.
Les was a great coach. You guys have got what you always wanted.
Just quit throwing stones at the man on his way out. It makes you look Tuscaloosa

Does the anti-Miles crowd get off on bashing the guy when he's heading out the door?

75 posts in 4 years? That seems to be interesting. No, Miles supporters are not participation trophy types. It is not an either or proposition. I would say most Miles supporters are realists. Being a Miles supporter doesn't mean you agree with everything he does or that you don't recognize changes need to be made.
Without a doubt CLM is the best coach LSU has ever had. To not see that is self imposed blindness. That doesn't mean we can simply live in the past and give Les credit for victories 5 years ago. It is obvious that our offense has been the pits and we have QB issues and unfortunately these have not been adequately addressed by Miles. This has to be fixed and it absolutely starts with the HC.
If your premise is that Miles supporters believe in participation trophies because we don't win the NC every year then you better include every fan base in the country including Bama. Only one team wins every year and even Bama has been left out for the past two years. Are we happy that we don't win? No. Are we happy that we're already an after thought? No. But that doesn't mean we enjoy being in second, third, etc. place, it just means we accept where we are.
Some of the Miles haters are interesting folks as well. Some on here seem to think that once we get a new coach LSU will establish a dynasty unlike any other in college football history. If only we had pedestrian QB play we would already have won 3-4 more championships. That is simply not going to happen and while I want LSU to win, it will take a few more losses under a new HC for those people to wake up as well.
Enjoy the games and the success of LSU football.

None? Not one? Never seen him called retarded, or a buffoon, or an idiot, or a fool, or a clown, etc for 11 years?

Most CLM hater posts in last 3 days are from accounts with less than 150 posts. And they sound like 14 year olds.

No. Its people who have a realistic view of things. As a LSU fan, I would love to be playing for an SEC title and getting into the playoffs every single year, but to expect your head coach to produce that year after year is unrealistic. Yes, we know Saban does it, but if anyone is expecting LSU to hire a head coach who will come in and build a program that will exceed Bama, then you might want to change your mindset to "hope for the best, expect the worst".
I am I saying its not possible? Not at all, you really never know, however; there is a pretty good chance that a new head coach will not produce as well as Les Miles does. Everyone has all the answers until reality sets in. Fans of programs like Texas, Miami, USC, Nebraska, Tennessee, etc expect to have national championship contending teams year after year as well.

That just shows their lack of class.
Sometimes I think it isn't about winning or losing with them.

There are idiots on both sides of this issue. And also very insightful people.
For some the litmus test is a NC, for some it's LM's past record, for some it's the Bama thing, and for others it's they simply love Les.
Let ppl know where you're coming from, then why. No need to just let insults loose. No matter what happens we will all still be rooting for LSU.
And BTW, 10 thousand posts on here won't make one iota of difference. The real deal decision makers are the big boosters, TAF, the Board and Alleva.
We just buy the tickets.
For me, I just think a change is appropriate. But I'm OK with one more year of Miles - but not one that looks like the last 3 games. That simply has to change beginning on Saturday.

...and precisely when was LSU a perennial power BEFORE Miles? Assuming of course you mean more than three years in a row in the top 10..... For reference, here's Saban's LSU AP finishes 22, 7, NR, 2, and 16.

Posts like the OP legitimize the pervading national opinion that LSU fans are fricking stupid.
