Not really, I want to be able to also chop smaller pieces with a hatchet into certain lengths. Just kind of a fire pit work top.

How about a block live oak? Try calling some tree companines, they'd probably give it to you.

I am in Mandeville. There is a about a 16" diameter tree down in my neighborhood. Just waiting for someone to come cut it up.

Gotcha. I was just thinking how awkward it would seem to me to try to split wood at that height. Wasn't thinking about smaller pieces or soft soil.
