I lived in Colorado for 10 years with a soft top jeep. I think I'm qualified.

That had heat I'm guessing. Your body heat is not enough to heat up a car. You may as well be outside, granted with some sort of wind barrier. A breeze in your face will cool you down no matter what really. I'd rather take a hot one of those than just freezing my nuts off in a cold car.
