No way he flat out retires. That means he would be walking away from the rest of his contract. There has to be a settlement in the works to where both sides are satisfied as much as possible. I, too, hate to see CLM outright fired, as he's done a lot for this program & has earned the respect of all his peers. What I see eventually happening for him down the road, re his legacy, is what has happened with Daddy Dale. He was practically run out of the program he built & was universally disliked by the fans, but as the years have gone by, the respect for what he did is finally coming out & he's now a fan favorite. But reducing CLM to a lame duck HC through next year will hurt recruiting & not do much for all his assistants who will know that they are out of work after one more yr.

Same here. I truly believed he's acknowledged his failures and meddling in the offense. Maybe I'm just retarded for thinking he deserves another year considering his acknowledgement.
