Even in recruiting, thus far there are only 2 DL signees for the 2016 class. Exactly what has Coach O done to justify the worship?

BEcause the big guys don't sign until NSD?

Our defensive recruiting has been 100x better with Orgeron. If the staff stayed together this would have been best defensive class in LSU history.

Maybe Raymond too if he wanted to stay.

Raymond doesn't seem to catch any abuse in this forum in spite of our defensive backs seeming to be befuddled and confused, taking bad angles, etc. this season. I know we are DBU but that hasn't reflected in our play lately.

Nothing. Once Miles is fired they will both go elsewhere and get better jobs and we lose that #1 recruiting class we covet so much.

But hey, what's another 20 years of losing if it means we rid ourselves of that goofball Miles, right?

does anyone think wilson would take this opportunity to go after a higher position at a different school?

I think they know how valuable they are as an asset to the team they could possibly ask for more money on their contracts

First of all our defensive line is young. Second, have you heard of Arden Key? Without Coach O we don't get him

That should be real enticing to a new coach, administration telling them who needs to be on the coaching staff.

Key hasn't done anything worth the praise. He had fairly decent debut against MSU but hast done anything since. I understand he is just a freshman but the verdict is still out on him. Our Dline seems to be worse than it was last season.

if I were an sec west team, I would offer Wilson and orgeron the bank to get them away from LSU and to get a huge footprint in la. Wilson could leave and sabatoge the nola area for years. he has that kind of contacts in nola.

Amen to this.

He was unemployed for a full year when Miles hired him. Obviously, the college football world didn't think he was that important.

"But, but, but... he takes his shirt off and yells."

"And he talks like a Cajun cuz he's one of us."

The LSU Cult of O is amazing.

Keep Miles. You can't guarantee assistants will stay regardless of who the head coach is. Now by saying that, I think anyone in the business knows Orgeron and Wilson should stay and make every effort for that to happen. You can't force that though.

You are right. I think DBU has been in a slump all year. I wouldn't can Raymond over it just yet.

Point was that you would likely have a void or down year in recruiting without those guys your first year. But hey, if Mr.Big Nuts coach comes in swingin below the knees and says he's got this. I'm in......he better win.

It doesn't work like that.

Coaches want to bring in their own crew. A new coach might consider keeping them on the staff but that's not the norm.

Criticism of Orgeron and Arden Key … Whoa, guys. It's been a tough November, but come on.
